They probably believe this will lead to something, but when it doesnt- what then?

by Overrated ini predict that in a year kingdumb halls will be replaced by zoom.
they will still have assembly halls but will charge a heavy entry fee.
baptisms will continue to be so low that would not be worth counting.

Is it possible for any Country to have “Reasonable” Gun Laws? What would they be?
by pistolpete inso the new biden/harris gun policies are starting to appear.
it’s not clear yet, what they will be.. some suggestions; confiscate all guns.------buyback programs in each state.. there is much talk on social media that if this happens, the pandemic, + all the riots, + all the damaged property, + all the annual murders in america, - put together-will be like a sunday afternoon picnic, compared to all the deaths and property damage that will result because of “civil uprising” by millions of 2nd amendments advocates and just plain gun lovers.

Pete, I think you are right about America, probably too late for big changes.
The post asked if its possible for a country to have reasonable gun laws and I believe we have them here, your question didnt mention the U.S.

Personally, I think in Australia we have reasonable gun laws.
My concern about free, unfettered gun ownership is mainly to do with human error, emotional stresses, mental illnesses etc. Someone may be fine one day and murderously insane the next day.
One thing to note in Australia is that, if you own a firearm, you can expect a visit by the cops twice a year, any time to make sure your gun is safe and secure. To me- this seems reasonable.
Gun ownership in Australia revolves around an individual having a genuine reason to own one, that reason cannot include self-defence. So, there has to be an interest in hunting, sport shooting, or managers/ owners of farms for anyone to consider going to the effort of purchasing, licensing a gun.
I should point out that I grew up owning guns, although, Ive never been a gun fan-boy or enthusiast, and now I dont care to own a firearm.
I believe this has more merit than feeling you have to go and buy a gun for self defence because everyone else has one and you feel scared and think its the only way to protect yourself.

Are any books being placed anymore?
by joey jojo ina recent post by atlantis/ petra was about destroying old books, some of which had been studied and placed over the years.. is witnessing these days only about directing people to jworg, are there books that are placed, or is hq concerned enough about having ever-changing beliefs in print that they avoid it?.

a small kingdom hall needs to be expanded because the facility wasn't big enough for those in attendance.

You need a special type of sand, mainly found in rivers to make concrete. Beach sand is not used because it is too smooth. By the way, the world is starting to run out of usable concrete sand.

There have been some really beautiful conjunctions during 2020, mainly consisting of the Moon, Saturn and Jupiter and lately, Mars, which is the bright orange object almost directly overhead in the early evening right now.
As an avid stargazer for most of my life, I am really looking forward to this event but, as an avid stargazer, I predict it will be a cloudy night where I live on the 21st December 2020.

Should Social Media Silence Conservative Views?
by minimus ini find it very disturbing that media outlets as well as facebook, instagram, google and others decide that a point of view is not acceptable simply because they don’t share an opinion.
perhaps it is at least right now but i think it’s very wrong.

Years ago, Australian Bethel printed literature for a large part of the oceania region as far as I remember. The printing there was pretty major. Do they still have all that equipment, or is it long gone?
